Financial Empowerment Advocate - Part-Time

Position Summary

Family Assistance Program is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Financial Empowerment Advocate to provide financial education, coaching, and support to clients working toward greater financial stability and independence.

The Financial Empowerment Advocate will conduct financial education classes in person and virtually through Teams, provide one-on-one financial coaching, and assist clients with setting realistic financial goals and developing action plans to achieve them.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly financial literacy classes in person and virtually through Teams.
• Effectively understand and implement financial education curriculum.
• Facilitate tests and quizzes to assess knowledge and information retention.
• Use financial assessment tools to help clients identify their individual financial needs.
• Provide weekly one-on-one, goal-based financial coaching.
• Assist clients with setting financial goals and developing action plans.
• Help clients develop and maintain healthy financial habits.
• Assist clients with credit repair and improving their understanding of credit.
• Provide encouragement and ongoing support to help clients remain motivated toward reaching their financial goals.
• Positively represent and promote Family Assistance Program within the community.
• Attend community events as needed.
• Prepare and submit reports as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Enthusiastic, engaging, and comfortable facilitating classes.
• Ability to provide supportive and professional one-on-one coaching.
• Reliable transportation and a good driving record.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
