The Family Assistance Program is looking for passionate individuals to fill a variety of roles. We offer direct service positions where you'll work directly with clients, community outreach opportunities, administrative roles, and more! We especially encourage applications from those with personal experience in the system, survivors, and former foster youth.
The Housing Advocate is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the FAP Safehouse. Responsibilities include overall management of previously incarcerated individuals who reside in a safehouse and supervision of volunteers. The Housing Advocate is a direct services position that provides support, advocacy, options, and referrals to victims of crime, including domestic violence and sexual assault. The Housing Advocate will spend most of their time working with residential facilities, property owners, landlords, and participants. This position requires a commitment to assisting victims, establishing and maintaining professional boundaries, strong communication skills, and accepting social and cultural diversity.
The Youth Advocate provides one-on-one support and mentorship to young individuals, helping them navigate personal, educational, and social challenges. They develop and implement individualized plans that address each youth’s specific needs and goals, including academic support, career guidance, and life skills development. They also facilitate group workshops and activities that promote self-esteem, leadership, and community engagement among young people. Duties include but are not limited to: completing intake and discharge paperwork.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Case Manager is an individual contributor to a team that services adult clients. The daily tasks include informing clients about care plans, promoting advocacy, and resource referrals. Upon entry into the program, an intake assessment of all clients will be conducted. Case Managers work with clients to set goals, improve self-development, and apply for benefits.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
An Empowerment Advocate reviews a human rights violation or the case of an exploitation victim. As an empowerment advocate, you assist victims through work with non-profit groups and legal agencies or in partnership with government outreach work. Other responsibilities include traveling to various locations where human trafficking is a problem and helping victims obtain aid.
