Join Our Team at Family Assistance Program

Family Assistance Program empowers all individuals and families, regardless of age or gender, by providing knowledge and skills to live a healthy, safe, fulfilled life.

We envision a community where everyone has a happy and healthy home. The agency works towards this vision by operating several programs designed to empower victims of domestic violence, homeless and at-risk youths, victims of human trafficking, and formerly incarcerated people. With multiple community centers, housing facilities, and business offices located in the High Desert and Inland Empire of San Bernardino County, the Family Assistance Program provides a safe and supportive place to roughly 3,000 people each year. Our locations provide clients with the knowledge and tools for self-sufficiency, economic mobility, healthy relationships, healing from traumas, and reuniting with family. Services include survivor advocacy, emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental and utility assistance, case management, individual and family counseling, life skills classes, transportation, and a myriad of other support—all free to the community.

Each person that enters a program is treated with respect, and decency, and is allowed to grow and develop into whatever they envision. The agency’s logo contains butterflies. These different colored butterflies represent our clients emerging into the community as healthy and fulfilled people. We are their cocoon. The agency does not tell clients what color they should be. Clients create their own meaningful goals, and we are there to help them reach each one.
