Position Summary
Family Assistance Program is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Youth Outreach Advocate to support the operations of our youth drop-in center and provide outreach services to unhoused and at-risk youth aged 12 to 24 in the High Desert area. This role focuses on mentorship, crisis intervention, and connecting youth to resources while representing the agency at community events.
Conduct outreach to unhoused and underserved youth while building relationships with community partners.
Supervise, mentor, and monitor clients in a safe and professional environment.
Provide crisis intervention, guidance, and support to at-risk youth.
Assist clients in accessing direct services and referrals to community resources.
Develop and facilitate workshops to enhance youth self-care, life skills, and community engagement.
Collaborate with volunteers to support clients' educational needs.
Maintain a professional and positive image of the agency at all times.
Current, valid state-issued driver's license.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure.
Knowledge of the communities served and strong communication skills.
Must successfully pass a background screening.
