Program Administrator - Our Stay Youth Shelter

Location: San Bernardino. CA

Reports To: Director Of Youth Shelters

Full-Time (Evenings and weekends may be required)

Position Summary

Family Assistance Program is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Program Administrator to oversee the daily operations of Our Stay youth shelter. This position ensures the safety, care, and well-being of youth, supports staff development, and maintains compliance with licensing and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader dedicated to providing a supportive environment for youth and staff while representing the organization with professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the facility to ensure safety, compliance, and program quality.

  • Designate and train staff to serve as acting administrator in their absence.

  • Appoint, supervise, and, when necessary, dismiss staff members.

  • Ensure attendance by leadership at all board meetings.

  • Submit required documentation to the Board of Directors, including reports of incidents, complaints, or allegations.

  • Implement and manage staff development and training programs.

  • Maintain all required facility and Department incident and investigation reports, ensuring confidentiality per Health and Safety Code Section 1538(b).

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance, licensing, and program oversight.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:

  1. Master's degree in a behavioral science and at least one year of experience as a social worker in youth or group care.

  2. Bachelor's degree and at least one year of administrative or supervisory experience in child care or youth services.

  3. Two years of college and at least two years of administrative or supervisory experience in child care or youth services.

  4. High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of administrative or supervisory experience in child care or youth services.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid administrator certification.

  • Criminal record clearance (CCL).

  • Health assessment and TB test results.

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.

  • Mandated Reporter training completion.
