Darryl Evey
Chief Executive Officer

Darryl Evey has served as the CEO at Family Assistance Program since 2007. During his tenure, the agency has grown from a budget of under $500k to over $13M. The agency has expanded to include programs for homeless youth, victims of human trafficking, and women on probation. During this time, the agency has diversified funding to include multiple state funding sources, county funding, federal funding, and several foundations.  His background in managing for-profit corporations has brought a stronger service-oriented approach to the organization.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the California Coalition for Youth and is the Commandant of the Victor Valley Marine Corps League. 



Ken Weekes
Chief Operating Officer

Ken is an AMFT #127367 who holds an MBA in Business, Masters in Counseling, a Senior Professional Human Resource Certification, a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAADC-CA), and is EMDR certified. He has clinical experience working with substance addictions, families, couples, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, and more. Additionally, he has been working in the non-profit management arenas for over twenty-five years helping organizations and individuals obtain their goals and objectives. He is the co-author of a substance abuse treatment program “Christ Prepared Recovery” and comes from a Christ centered approach to management and counseling.


Jim "Bo" Bolas
Chief Program Officer

James "Bo" Bolas has been working in non-profit housing, homelessness and social justice since 1985. Jim mostly focused on youth services and completed his studies in Non-profit Management at Columbia University. He has expertise in Adolescent and Human Development, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, Coalition Building and Strategic Planning and Fund Development.

With his B.A.Ed., Bo has provided training or technical support on Curriculum Development, Conference Planning, Outcomes, Human Trafficking, Adolescent Development, Mental Health First Aid, Program Development, Fund Development, Harm Reduction, Supervision, Case Management, Group Facilitation and Social Marketing. 

Bo has worked with street youth in New York City's Times Square, ran a statewide homeless youth coalition in NY, ran a program in Seattle getting homeless families into housing, developed rural street outreach programs and trained programs on across the country and internationally. He was a co-founder of the first homeless youth peer street outreach coalition in the 90's with the groundbreaking Streetwork Project in NYC, and while working with the National Network for Youth, provided language to the HEARTH Act which became the model for the Federal Housing First Model.

As Chief Program Officer, Jim focuses on the needs of the staff and the variety and quality of our programs, while concentrating on staff development, innovation, effectiveness, and wellness. He ensures the effective training of our staff and oversees that Family Assistance Program continues to provide quality services with impactful outcomes.
